Annual wine tasting
We kicked off the new year with one of our favorite Atrium traditions - our Annual Virtual Wine Tasting - and it did not disappoint. We had many clients and friends join us online in early January for an evening of great conversation and even better wine.
Our sommelier walked us through each selection, offering stories about each wine as well as tips on tasting. It was relaxed, interactive, and full of laughs - exactly the kind of post-holiday event we love hosting.
Events like this are a reminder that what we do goes well beyond portfolios and planning. We’re grateful for the relationships we’ve built and always enjoy creating opportunities to connect outside of the typical financial conversation. Cheers to another great year ahead.
A Fresh Look for Atrium
At Atrium, we’re always looking for ways to keep things fresh - including our website. Recently, our team spent some time with photographer Carrie Nelson for a professional photo shoot, and we had an amazing time doing it.
Beyond being a lot of fun, the goal was simple: replace the typical stock photos with real images of the people you actually work with. We think it adds a much more personal feel and better reflects who we are as a firm.
Take a look and let us know what you think:

We hope you enjoy the update as much as we enjoyed putting it together.
Tom and Patty celebrate 30 years of marriage
This year marked a special milestone for Tom and his wife Patty. They recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.
To mark the occasion, they snuck away for a few relaxing days at a charming old bed and breakfast in New Hope, enjoying the town’s history and beautiful riverfront scenery. It was a nice opportunity to slow down and spend some time together before the busy months ahead. Since Patty’s in the thick of the school year teaching special education with the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit, a bigger trip will wait until summer break.
Tom and Patty first met as students at Saint Joseph’s University more than three decades ago, and since then they’ve built a wonderful life together in Bucks County, which they proudly call home.
Please join us in congratulating Tom and Patty on 30 years of marriage - a truly special milestone. Cheers to many more great years ahead!
Volatility in the Headlines, Discipline in your Plan
The economy entered 2026 on stable footing, though growth has slowed compared to last year. Inflation is gradually easing, and the job market remains relatively healthy overall. The Federal Reserve continues to take a cautious approach on interest rates as it monitors progress and the impact of global events.
The recent war with Iran has added uncertainty, particularly in energy markets. Any conflict in the Middle East tends to impact energy markets, and we’ve already seen oil prices move higher and become more volatile. If energy prices stay elevated, that could continue to show up at the gas pump and put some upward pressure on inflation again. Markets have experienced some short-term volatility as a result.
While headlines can feel unsettling, periods of volatility are a normal part of investing. It’s important not to make panic-driven decisions based on short-term events. Staying disciplined and focused on long-term goals remains the most effective strategy.
